Story Impact[]
- Ihwa/Hero Killer is taken prisoner by the Black Hand but she is rescued by Bishop and Sledgehammer. Through the power of Chain's Ring she sees the events surrounding Yeon, her sister's death during Operation Dusk.
- Engen meets with Bishop who delivers Hero Killer back to the Smiling Man.
- The Elder sees that Engen has changed and briefly tests his newfound powers.
- Hero Killer meets Bishop for the first time. He calls into question the validity of what Chain's Ring showed her.
- The Master of the Clan is challenged by the Dusty Cloaks but the Skysword kills them all in an instant. He declares it to be a cowardly assassination attempt on Biship's part.
- He orders Claymore to send out a message to all the Hero Clan district managers and prominent members to choose who's side their on. Infighting between heroes soon begins within the clan's ranks.
- The Invasion of Castle Gray begins. Villains led by Engen and the Nameless invade the isolated land.
- Ihwa/Hero Killer mourns Nenya's death and swears to avenge her adoptive sister's death by killing Jintae Yang.
- The Master of the Clan, hearing of Engen's plans, dispatches a task consisting of Dalia Mendoza, the Punisher, Narkle Encilion, Paladin, Azure Dragon, and Highnoon to assassinate and kill the Smiling Man while he plans to fight Bishop.
- The Villains arrive at the Forest of Immortals and clash with the creatures created by Reagen Sinclair.
- Ihwa/Hero Killer is targeted by criminal bounty hunters who aim for her life due to the large bounty the Hero Clan placed on her head.
- Rachel shows off the result of her training as she easily strolls through the Forest of Immortals.
- Ihwa/Hero Killer meets Rendo, a treasure hunter and villain. They team up to fight the monsters of the forest, the Human-Faced Plants.
- Hekate is sent by Victoria to observe the invasion to see if Engen can manage to defeat Reagen and to keep an eye on Hero Killer. She saves the Hero Killer and Rendo and offers to help Hero Killer find the answers she seeks about getting stronger by picking fights with her.
- The oldest son of the Sinclairs is shown to be a mutated creature with EST supposedly on par with the Elders.
- Engen shows off the newfound powers he gained from his Breakthroughs in climbing the Tower of Milen Kula in his fight with Raxfer Sinclair whom he nearly kills.
- Razenia Sinclair, the oldest daughter of the Sinclairs, is chosen by her father to be his official heir and to lead the war against the Smiling Man.
- She issues a one on one challenge through her champions and the villains' strongest.
- John Nash, frustrated at his lack of improvement and the appearance of stronger enemies, shows off his development with his Gift.
- The Hero Task Force meet Ijincheon on their way to Castle Gray.
- The Executioner tells them that he is the father of Hero Killer.
- Dalia regains some of her fractured memories and remembers how she met Kasha, the previous Sixth Finger.
- Jintae Yang and his gang attack the Nameless by ambushing Rachel.
- Jintae shows off his improved abilities and enhanced Healing after stealing the Torch.
- Daemon's history with Vector during the Shard Transplant Experiment is briefly shown.
- Daemon is defeated and killed by Ihwa while Sapphire kills herself in her final moments.
- Engen clashes with Jintae and nearly kills him but spares his life. The Smiling Man goads him into killing Hero Killer.
- Ijincheon's Origins on how he became the successor to the Executioner's title and attained his strength as a swordsman is told.
- The previous Executioner is officially introduced through a flashback of his final days and lesson to Ijincheon, his successor, is told.
- Ihwa/Hero Killer meets her father, Ijincheon, after trying to steal his swords. She gets to know him through a training session between the two, but Ijincheon withholds his true identity from her.
- Yeon and Ihwa's Mother appears briefly in Ijincheon's memory, but her identity remains shrouded in mystery.
- Ijincheon gives Ihwa a present in the form of the Red Sword.
