The hero, Jade, arrives late, displaying arrogance and quickly eliminating the terrorists using his super speed and Electrokinesis. However, instead of rescuing the hostages, Jade forces one of the terrorists to massacre them, then kills the remaining terrorists, justifying it as "justice." Observing from afar are a silver-haired young woman in a red hoodie, and a wheelchair-bound man. The old man tells the woman that her training will be complete with Jade's death.
Hero Killer[]

Just as Jade prepares to finish her off, he is struck by a terrifying vision of his own execution. Shaken, Jade backs off, but the silver-haired woman quickly retaliates, severely wounding him before killing him in a final blow. wheelchaired man, watching, reminds her that there’s no turning back now—stronger heroes will come for her, but the silver-haired woman confidently declares she will kill them all.
Clash with the Hero Clan[]
The silver-haired, Ihwa, later encounters Chaos at her workplace. After a brief confrontation, Chaos gives her a note with an address. When she arrives at the location, Chaos, from a hidden position, opens fire. Using Jade's Electrokinesis, Hero Killer forces Chaos to retreat and confronts him. As they fight, Chaos is aided by his partner, Viper, whose ability to phase through attacks proves difficult for the villain. During their battle, Hero Killer copies Viper’s Gift to escape.
Despite being injured, Hero Killer lures Chaos into a trap and injures him, but Viper intervenes before she can finish him off. The two heroes eventually overwhelm her, with Viper preparing to kill her. However, a giant man suddenly appears and kills Viper, forcing Chaos to retreat. The mysterious figure is revealed to be one of the Villains, who saved Ihwa.
Meeting the Nameless[]
Ihwa awakens in a hospital bed, where she meets a man named Vector, who introduces himself as a doctor for a group called the Nameless. She learns that the Nameless are survivors of the Great War between the Hero Clan and Villains. Ihwa is introduced to other members of the group, including Rachel Sinclair and John Nash, before meeting their leader, Engen who she thinks looks dangerous.
At the Hero Clan's 17th Division HQ, Chaos is reprimanded by Heavy Smoker for Viper's death. Chaos explains that Engen, a powerful villain from the Great War, was responsible, causing the Hero Clan to go on high alert.
Later, Engen meets with Yushin, the wheelchair-bound man, in an abandoned church. Yushin explains that Hero Killer is a natural-born fighter with great potential, but she’s not yet ready to face stronger enemies. Engen agrees to help her, understanding that he will eventually need to face "that girl," a formidable foe. Engen accepts the task but warns that if Hero Killer breaks, he won't be responsible.
