The Five Masters are a group of powerful sword masters who were responsible for raising and teaching the Master of the Clan.
History[]
The individual histories of these five sword wielders aren't fully known but each of them would go on to become prominent masters in swordsmanship. At various points in Era of Nera, these five challenged the Elder, Yushin of Yerim to one-on-one duels to defeat the powerful swordsman. The swordmaster of "strength" was the first to fight the Elder but was overpowered by him, the swordmaster of "agility" was the second but was outsped, and the third was the swordmaster of "delight" who was overwhelmed despite using their many telekinetic swords, the fourth the swordmaster of "flexibility" was outmaneuvered with his guard bypassed, the final and fifth the swordmaster of "energy" was cut down by the Elder's own EST slashes.[1]
Humiliated, the five sword wielders met one of another and wandered the war-torn lands together. Doing their wanderings, the five came upon a destroyed village and found a single survivor amongst the slaughtered - a baby boy lying next to his mother's corpse. The five would save him and named the baby, Han.
Deciding that they wanted to be avenged, the five fostered the boy as they trained him with the hope that he would one day defeat the Elder. The five, combining their principles, created Skysword, a combined style of swordsmanship, and taught it to their disciple.
Offering their swords, the five forged a magnificent sword for Han that he would take up and wield as his weapon. Han grew to become a powerful swordsman as he defeated countless swordsmen and warriors throughout his youth.
