Gogyeol, also known by his hero codename, Chaser, is a member of the Hero Clan and a Hero Proclamation Exam graduate of the Hero Trials. He is a regular human or "Normie" that sees
Unlike the other graduates, he is the only nonpowered active hero to appear in the series.
Appearance[]
Gogyeol is a young man with black hair and light purple eyes. He is impressively ripped and muscled with numerous thick scars on his knuckles from training constantly. For clothing, he wore casual streetwear but switched to a jet-dark blue costume after officially becoming a hero.
Personality[]
Gogyeol was inspired by Nereid to become a hero after she saved his life. He has a strong sense of justice, righteousness, and determination to achieve his goal of being a hero who protects the weak. Despite many discouraging him from giving up on pursuing his dreams, he still disregards them and continues to reach his goal.
History[]
As a child, Gogyeol was once saved by a hero named Nereid. She would become his favorite hero and idol with him admiring her for determination and drive to never give up despite not being one of the strongest heroes in the Hero Clan and constant criticism from the general public for not living up to their expectations. Because of that, he desired to become an aspiring hero to protect the weak and innocent.

After years of training, Gogyeol decided to participate in the annual Hero Trails to fulfill his dream of becoming a hero but due to his status as a human, he struggled a lot during the examination to the point where even the instructors try to encourage him to give up on his dream.

Etymology[]
- Go (고 / 高) means "high," "noble," or "lofty."
- Gyeol (결 / 潔) means "pure," "clean," or "undefiled."
- Together, Gogyeol (고결) generally translates to "nobility" or "purity," conveying a sense of high moral character, integrity, or virtuousness. In Korean, it’s often used to describe someone with a noble or pure heart, reflecting ideals of honor, purity, and elevated character.
