Jade, also known as Mad Dog, was a member of the Hero Clan and a hero in District 17's Dust City but was a corrupted hero who killed hostages without any mercy to get the job done faster. He was the very first hero to be killed by Hero Killer.
Appearance[]
Jade had a tall slim figure with a long ponytail on his short dark brown hair. He had faded stripes on each side of his head and has two piercings, one above his left eyebrow, and the other below his left eyebrow. He was seen only wearing a cream-tan tuxedo and pants along with a button shirt with the same colors. He also wore a large golden necklace that hides under his tuxedo but above his shirt. He also bears many tattoos on his hands as well as a few golden rings.
Personality[]
Jade was an extremely arrogant, cocky, and psychotic man whose behavior showed that he was willing to mercilessly kill any hostages he deemed as obstacles and later killing any hostage witnesses after he getting his job done. He also showed the exact same behavior towards villains. Despite being a hero, he had a personality of a psychotic villain who became a hero for money, fame and possibly sadistic delight. [1]

A vision of Jade appears to a drunken Ihwa's hallucination during her meeting with Pitbull. Ihwa stands in shock as "Jade" asks her if she's been using his Gift well, Ihwa gets ready to face off against the hero to prove him right. "Jade" would appear again with Grayman in Ihwa's fight with the Punisher as she asks her "friends" to lend her their strength.
Assault on Castle Gray Arc[]
After finally defeating Jintae Yang, Hero Killer is forced to make the decision between relinquishing all of the Gifts that she's collected since the start of her journey to make a proper Breakthrough while Hekate uses Bridle of Silence to cushion the intensity of The Torch. Remembering Engen's advice to her, a very reluctant Ihwa gives in.
In that moment, Jade, a frighten Grayman, and all the other Villains and heroes that Hero Killer had killed appeared. Jade, with a warm smile, reassures Ihwa that'll she be fine without them. An annoyed Ihwa accepts it and sets them all free as they run into the "light".[2]
