WARNING! |
The One Hundred-Sided Blade, also known as the Glass Sword or the Translucent Sword, is a powerful Shard sword that can cut with light and change it's form based on the wielder's imagination and intent. It is currently in the possession of Hero Killer after her victory against the previous owner, Jintae Yang.
Description[]
The blade is translucent and completely invisible to the naked eye, hence its nickname of the "translucent sword". [1] The blade takes the shape of a normal sword by default when inside it's sheathe.
History[]
The exact origins of the sword are unknown. However, the sword was once wielded by a master who became known as The Master of the Glassblade who created a powerful fighting style known as Ancient Sword Technique of the Flowing Blade centered around the sword's ability to bend and manipulate the essence of EST to his imagination.
The swordsman founded his own school and had many disciples, one of whom was a young man named Jintae Yang. Jintae lusted after the sword and eventually led a rebellion against his master as he and his follow disciple brothers killed everyone who opposed them.
Eventually, Jintae dueled his master but even though the master was more powerful than him, the old man chose to die at his student's hands and passed on ownership of the sword to him.
Story[]
Hero Candidate Arc[]
Jintae exclusively used the sword while leading his gang. During the Hero Trials, he killed Bora with the sword in single strike while also attacking Fazin, a candidate and fought several other heroes with it. The sword was immediately recognized by the Hero Dan, who deduced Jintae's identity because of it.[2] Effi was also able to recall the sword's history as well as Jintae Yang's ownership of the sword based on a vague description of the sword.
Assault on Castle Gray Arc[]
Jintae and his gang take advantage of the Smiling Man's Invasion of Castle Gray, as they ambush the Nameless and attempt to kill them, especially, his archrival Hero Killer in another chance to avenge Condor. Jintae engages Hero Killer in a one final one-on-one duel but ultimately loses the fight as he is killed by his rival. After his death, his beloved sword is taken by a victorious Ihwa.[3]
Abilities[]
The sword is an invaluable shard that is known to be quite famous and powerful enough to make any swordsman salivate for it. The One Hundred-Sided Blade's most treasured ability is that it can mold its own shape and design based off the wielder's desires, increasing the wielders range and destructive power significantly to the point of cutting through an entire city block.
When wielded by a user of Ancient Sword Technique of the Flowing Blade, the shard can maximize the unorthodox swordsmanship style to staggering levels when in the hands of a master. Although it is able to take any shape, it must first be unsheathed out of its case, requiring the wielder to practice unsheathing it quickly and effectively [4].
The sheath is also just as durable as the blade itself, providing a separate defensive tool to help increase the wielder's counter-defensive abilities. However, the blade's sharpness isn't unstoppable and can be stopped by the dexterity of other shards, Gifts, etc. alike.

Trivia[]
- In the reader's perspective, the blade takes on the same color scheme of Jintae's eyes. This was probably for the readers to be able to see the shard in action.
