The Fingers are the leaders of the Black Hand that serve as the Master of the Clan and The Council's direct subordinates. Led by the First Finger Dalia the Punisher, they are six of the most powerful members of the intelligence agency and the Hero Clan as they rival the Special Forces.

It was revealed that Yeon, the older sister of Hero Killer, was once a member of the Fingers as she was the strongest member within the group as the Sixth Finger and that some members were directly involved in Operation Dusk, the "purging" of traitors of the Hero Clan and Yeon's assassination.

The organization was introduced towards the end of The Torch Arc and are one of the central antagonists of the series.

Overview

Each member holds a significant amount of influence and power within Black Hand, with the lower-level agents having to obey any and all orders given from them.

The exact criteria for joining the Fingers varies aside from the Sixth Finger. Former lower-level agents have been shown to be able join should they prove to have skillful abilities or incredible power; even former heroes are allowed to join.

The identity of the First Finger, Dalia Mendoza is publicly known which acts as an announcement of a public execution for an intended target of the clan.

The abilities and condition for each position differ but each member is assumed to be far stronger or on par with members of the clan's Special Forces. The known conditions are:

First Finger: Given to the most active member that acts as the public figure of the organization. When mobilize the First Finger's reputation tells the enemies of Clan to be weary as they may be targeted by either them or the entirety of Black Hand.

While initially thought to be the strongest amongst the group, this was revealed to be untrue.

Second Finger: Unknown

Third Finger: Unknown

Fourth Finger: Given to the member most gifted in mass murder and killing.

Fifth Finger: Unknown

Sixth Finger: Given to the member who is the strongest within the organization. This position is earned through combat between a predecessor and successor. It was initially unknown what other functions the Sixth did aside from the run of the mill assassination, but it was shown that they participate in collaborate missions with other Fingers.

History

Operation Dusk

After an unknown falling out with the clan, Kasha is shadowed by Black Hand. They track her down to Dust City and confront her after gathering many of their members. The young assassin mocks them for it and immediately starts killing their members.

However, Nanzu takes of advantage of the fight and manages to heavily wound her and subdue her with his Gift, but before they could finish her, Yushin the former Elder suddenly appears and intervenes as the swordsman fights off the agents with Kasha escaping in the confusion

Story

Assault on Castle Gray Arc

The Punisher has a meeting with Nanzu amongst a field of reeds following her failure in killing Hero Killer and capturing Chain.

The two assassins become confused while trying to remember the events of Operation Dusk and white haired woman's demise. Days later Mendoza is tasked by the Master of The Clan with stopping Engen and the Villains in their attack on Castle Gray.
