WARNING! |
Yeon (이연), also known by her codename and title of Kasha and her infamous title The King of the Underworld, was the older sister of Ihwa, the Hero Killer and the eldest daughter of Ijincheon, the Executioner of the Silver Forest of the Four Swordsmen, and the late Luenna.
A formidable member of the Hero Clan, Yeon operated under her codename as an elite agent of Black Hand, the clan’s intelligence agency and execution force. She held the distinguished yet deadly position of the Sixth Finger of The Fingers, an exclusive circle comprising the six strongest members of the Black Hand.
However, a conflict led to Yeon's falling out with the Hero Clan, marking her as a threat. In response, the Black Hand carried out Operation Dusk, an orchestrated assassination that not only resulted in her death but also systematically erased nearly all records of her existence from the clan’s archives.
Her assassination became the catalyst for Ihwa’s descent into vengeance, fueling her transformation into a Villain and driving her relentless pursuit of strength as a Gift user. Yeon's death also sent shockwaves through others, prompting the long-absent Ijincheon to re-emerge after learning of his daughter's demise from Yushin.
Yeon was first seen in memories during Ihwa’s recollection of her death in the District 17 Assault Arc. She remained a figure of the past, only appearing through flashbacks, until her full introduction in the Assault on Castle Gray Arc War of Disbandment Arc. There, the harrowing events of Operation Dusk were revealed to Ihwa through the power of Chain's Ring and Dusk, Yeon's old friend and former hero.
Appearance[]
Yeon was an exceptionally striking young woman with long, flowing silver-white hair that cascaded down her back, often tied in a loose yet stylish ponytail. Her sharp red eyes glowed with an intense radiance whenever she activated her EST, much like Ihwa's and their father's. Her appearance is reminiscent of both her parents as she inherited her father's eyes and her late mother's hair color. Her silver-white eyelashes further accentuated her piercing gaze, adding an almost ethereal quality to her presence. A vertical scar marked her otherwise flawless face, a remnant of a past fight or battle.
Her choice of attire reflected both professionalism and practicality as she typically wore a fitted black business suit with tailored pants, exuding authority and discipline. Over this, she donned a crisp white coat resembling a lab coat, a signature look she maintained while on her assignments. The contrast of her outfit with her pale complexion and striking eyes gave off a commanding presence.
Her demeanor often shifted between composed to mischievous and unpredictable, as evidenced by the sharp smirk that frequently graced her. While Yeon carried an air of cold detachment, those who knew her well recognized the subtle warmth buried beneath her tough exterior.
Personality[]
Yeon viewed the world through a bleak lens, seeing nothing but blood and red—even among the stars above.[1] Despite her ruthless profession as an assassin, Ihwa’s memories of her painted a different picture one of a kind and warm older sister who, in her own way, tried to shield her from the harshest of the world.
Her warrior’s mindset, likely inherited from her father, shaped her approach to life and death. She never shied away from exposing Ihwa to the nature of her work, often returning home covered in blood, unbothered by the violence of her work. In one chilling yet intimate moment, she even asked Ihwa to avenge her should the time ever come, as if accepting the inevitable fate that awaited someone in her line of work. Though her exact motivations for joining the Hero Clan remains unclear, Yeon’s main goal was simple, she wanted to create a world where fragile children like Ihwa could grow up without fear.[2]

Trivia[]
- Bishop has called into question the veracity of the story of Yeon's death in the aftermath of the second Operation Dusk. Yeon's death has been depicted in two different accounts — one shown through a Shard and the other told orally by someone involved in her demise.
- First Account: Through the power of Chain's Ring, Yeon managed to eliminate half of the Black Hand agents sent after her. However, she was critically wounded by Nanzu and narrowly saved from immediate death by Yushin, who intervened and fought off the remaining agents.
- Second Account: According to Majesty, after a fierce battle, she, Nanzu, Immortal, Saint Light, and Seven, in its "Varius" persona, were ultimately able to kill Yeon, though she had already slain over half of them. But the insane saint made no mentioned of encountering or fighting Yushin, further claiming that it was "Varius" who personally volunteered to dispose of Yeon’s body.
- Yeon's bust size measurements was 169. However, it is subject to change depending on the story.[3]
- Before their final parting, Yeon once referred to Dusk as a "hero in the limelight" before stating how she had "always walked in the shadows".[4]
- Yeon's words mirrors her father, Ijincheon's choice of words towards her mother Luenna having referred to her as his "light in the darkness".[5]
